FAQ

Q: What is this Vitalize plugin, and what does it do?

A: Vitalize is a plugin created by the makers of the Clickteam products. It is used to run applications, made with Clickteam products, on websites(like Flash). TechVision has six online games you can play if you have the plugin. One could build their entire site in Vitalize. A lot of other websites uses this plugin as well.

Q: I downloaded a game, but can't make it work

A: You have probably misplaced or damaged the following driver: cncs232.dll. This driver is used by applications created by one of Clickteams newer products. If you have damaged the driver you simply replace it. If you don't know where it's placed then search for it. If placed in c:\windows\system32, all applications (that need this driver) should be able to run.

Q: Why is the neccessary driver not always included?

A: From now on all TechVision software has the neccessary driver included. If it wasn't in yours you have an old version of a TechVision game. Go to the Games page to find a new one.

Q: When will TechVision actually finish any games?

A: Spaze Invaderz came out earlier this year, so something does happen...

Q: What is the system requirements for the games?
A:
  • You need an IBM compatible pc, with Win98, WinME, WinXP. (Win95 has not been tested. If you know it works, please don't hesitate to contact TechVision)
  • A 200mhz processor is supposedly the minnimum recomended spec for the new versions of the TechVision games ( for online games a slightly lesser computer should do the trick)

  • A sound card offering respectable MIDI playback, would be a nice feature
  • Joypad supported in all the download games (optional).
  • WinZip to open the packed game files (Windows XP has zip handling built-in)
Q: Why is the fullscreen games so slow?

A: All games are now playable in real fullscreen mode, and in windowed mode. Unless you system is lesser than the requirements you see above it should be able to run both modes.

If you have any older versions of the TechVision games they were executed in a "fit to screen" fullscreen mode. This mode did not lower the resolution, and could therefore run rather slow on even quite powerfull systems if they were running at a high resolution. All the download games can now be played in proper fullscreen/windowed mode. Download the most recent version for a better performance.
